Pimsleur Italian is perfect if you only want to learn conversational Italian. Pimsleur’s goal is to get you to speak the Italian language quickly. The program teaches you the most common vocabulary and grammar and teaches you ways to handle various common social scenarios.

The Pimsleur course uses CDs and is completely audio based. You will enjoy this course if you are an audio learner but for visual learners the program’s one-dimensional approach may present a problem. I do recommend this course if you need a quick burst of the Italian language prior to a vacation to an Italian speaking country.
