If you are really interested in finding out places where you can learn all about the Italian language, you can always go in for the rocket Italian to speak learning course. Not only are you going to learn how to speak fast Italian, but you are also going to learn everything about the language as well as the grammar and the vocab. Thanks to Rocket Italian, you can find yourself using fluent Italian to speak, read/write and listen, the moment you are confronted with the language!

Real Good Points about Rocket Italian Software

The extensive study material is extremely useful, because you are going to learn the language through grammar, vocabulary, audio and flash cards. Every single lesson is going to be enforced again and again through the lessons, so that you can remember the vocabulary after you have listened to the audio tape. You can even load the audiotapes onto your MP3 player or cell phone, so that you can listen to the tapes again and again.

The software is easy to use and quite user-friendly. The lessons are primarily text and audio based. The audio is very clear and easy to understand. The user is also presented with images so that he or she may associate words with real situations. The lessons provide interesting information about the country of Italy, its people, and its culture. This course is great for learning to speak Italian.

Points Where Rocket Italian Loses Marks

If you are more into interactive sessions on the computer, this is a program where you are not going to get complete satisfaction. There is no way in which you can find out whether you are pronouncing the words properly. You are also not going to be able to score marks on the conversation levels and the pronunciation levels. A speech admonition technology is needed to make sure that a person knows that he is pronouncing the words properly.

If you are not able to follow scripted conversations, you may have problems following the audio conversations with all that you have in your hand. But on the plus side, if you are into text and audio in a good way, this is undeniably the program which can assist you and help you to know more about the essentials of Italian to read, write, listen to and speak.

Useful word tools

Aside from the flashcards, which are there to facilitate you a lot in your vocabulary, and your grammar, there are an abundance of word tools in Rocket Italian, which can help you be trained in Italian to speak it fluently. In addition to that, you can constantly download new information and word tools from the website itself. Any problems can be taken care of through the support given to you through the website. So what are you waiting for – try Rocket Italian to speak the language with fluency today.

Along with Romanian, French, Spanish and Portuguese, the Italian language descends from Latin, and can be traced back to the tenth century. However, it was only four centuries later that the Italian language was formalized and a standard language began to take shape.

In today’s time, there are about seventy million individuals that speak Italian. The vast majority of people touting the Italian language reside in Italy, Vatican, San Marino, and even Switzerland, but there are a few outlying communities popping up in Slovenia, Malta, Croatia, the United States, and even South America.

The Italian language is well known for its beautiful and diverse dialect. You might find certain linguists willing to say people in different cities of Italy speak different languages. The Tuscan dialect, together with Umbrian, Romanesco and Laziale, is the closest to standard Italian as opposed to Neapolitan and Sicilian which are almost non-mutually intelligible with Italian.

There are only 21 main letters in the Italian alphabet, with five additional letters that are exclusively used for foreign names. Most of the vocabulary for this language comes from Latin, however Italian manages to refresh simply by the borrowing of words from German, French and English. Other countries have also been known to borrow words from the Italian language, using them to describe art, music, and foods.

The main features of Italian grammar are coupled with many of the other Romance languages thanks to its deep Latin roots. In most cases, word order follows the ‘subject-verb-object’ pattern; nouns indicate gender and number; verbs agree with subjects and also indicate person and number; adjectives agree with nouns.

Learning Italian is simple if one of the Romance languages is already part of your arsenal because there are numerous likenesses. However, learning Italian seems to be most popular among the speakers of English and other Germanic languages.

by Robertson B. Kunz

If you are interested in learning Italian, you probably want to learn it as quickly and efficiently as possible. In this article I want to explore the option of gaining basic fluency in Italian in 3 months or less.

In reality, many Italian students end up learning Italian for years in Italian language classes only to find that they still can’t carry on a basic conversation by the end of their studies. On the other hand, I personally know many people who have learned Italian or another foreign language in 3 months or less.

Before I get more into the plan, I should note that those of you who already know another romance langauge like Spanish or French will find this much easier to do. Also, if you have studied a foreign language that wasn’t necessarily a romance one, you will still have a slight advantage. For those of you who have never studied a foreign language before, you may find that the process takes you a bit more time because you are not used to learning foreign languages yet.

However, you should know that it is definitely possible to achieve basic fluency in Italian in 3 months as long as you stay committed to studying Italian each and every day for a serious amount of time.

Let’s go over some basic numbers so that you can see for yourself what is required to get to the basic fluency level in Italian.

Many language experts say that in most European languages including Italian, the 1000 most commonly used words make up 85% of common speech while the 3000 most commonly used words make up 95% of common speech. For our basic fluency goals in Italian, we will want to hit the 3000 word mark.

Additionally, many experts in languages say that in order to become fluent in languages like Italian, Spanish or French, 200 hours of active study time is required.

Given that you are going to study every day for 3 months, you have about 90 days which means that you will learn about 33 words per day. If you devote two hours of study each day that means you will get 180 hours of active study by the end of your 3 months which is basically the recommended 200 hours.

Many of you might think that learning 33 new words per day is too challenging. However, if you think about it, given that you have 2 hours of study time each day, that means you have to learn about 16 words per hour or about 1 word every 4 minutes. This is not so hard, is it?

Take into consideration the fact that many coganates exist between Italian and English like the English word “international” being “internazionale” in Italian and you will see that you will be able to pick up many Italian words in less than 5 seconds.

But we should also remember that you won’t always have 2 hours to study only new vocabulary. It’s also important that you review old vocabulary that you learned as well as concentrate on improving your grammar use. However, even given these other study areas, you should still have enough time.

Given this goal of 2 hours of active study each day and a goal of learning 3000 words by the end of your study period, you will achieve basic fluency in Italian in 3 months. The important thing is that you stay committed to studying each and every day and make sure that you are continually progressing. If you stay true to your plan, you will achieve your Italian fluency goal.
